Hi, I'm Jorg, and I've been writing articles for Chrono24 since 2016. However, my relationship with Chrono24 goes back a bit longer, as my love for watches began around 2003. It was sparked by my good friend Robert-Jan from Fratello Watches, who showed me what is so special about mechanical watches. Before that, I'd always had a more general interest in watches that can be traced back to a love for my father’s Omega Seamaster DeVille from 1966. I saw my dad wearing this watch every day when I was growing up, and he still wears it to this day. The story about my father’s watch is an example of what I find most interesting about watches: the stories behind the watches. They can be about people, historic events, design, technique, or the brand. Watches are fascinating not only because they are little technical marvels that capture time but also because they represent a great part of our history.
